Traineeship Hosts

We’re looking for organisations to host Traineeship positions.

The Traineeships will be part-funded by the Tamara Scheme and they form part of the Scheme’s £209k Tamara Trainees project, which aims to provide training opportunities for people living in and around the Tamar Valley.

The Tamara Scheme will provide support for up to 50% of the employee’s salary and up to 50% of the employers on-costs in connection with the trainee. There will also be a small discretionary fund to help support some of the additional costs for example PPE as well as ongoing advice for the host organisation during the employment period (subject to terms and conditions).

Host organisations must ensure that Trainees are engaged on work primarily in the scheme area. The host organisation and/or trainee can be located outside of the area, but most of the work must take place inside the area.
