More Apprenticeships in Pipeline!

The Tamara Trainees project, which aims to develop over 20 apprenticeship, foundation and internships whilst removing barriers which may have stopped some people from taking up training opportunities in the past, is progressing well. We have arranged for 3 Assistant Ranger Apprenticeships to be hosted by the National Trust (1 has been filled and the others are still to be advertised over the duration of the Tamara Scheme). We are now putting the finishing touches to a Business Administration Apprentice opportunity, which will be hosted jointly by 2 of our partners and will enable the successful applicant to acquire diverse skills in business administration in two related, but different sectors. The practical skills will be supplemented with a day a week at college. We are also currently in talks with our partners and providers about other training opportunities including a large local charity which would host more apprenticeships and traineeships. We hope to be able to tell you more about this soon.

We have funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund to assist local organisations in providing training opportunities in the area. If you are interested in finding out more about being a host or what training opportunities there are, please get in touch with Chris Harris, Tamara Trainees Project Lead christopher.harris@cornwall.gov.uk
